Part of the fun of fashion Fashion is being transported to some far off magical place where we discover how designers dream up their seasonal concoctions, some magical places are better than others, but the part of the journey we can’t ignore: Fashion is for everyone. For everyone who has an imagination. If you don’t, you probably can’t or won’t appreciate the inspiration, the playful silhouettes, embellishments, cultural/historical references, the symmetry (or lack thereof), and the many other reasons I’m perfectly happy curling up with my laptop and a cocktail or cup of coffee/tea depending on what time of day it is, to peruse the latest shows. It was one of my greatest joys. Just for a moment, I am transported to some magical place where everything I touch is beautiful, that something is so expertly crafted I almost float while wearing it– the clothes make the models strut (not the other way around) if you haven’t already figured it out.
One of my season favorites is always, always Electric Feathers. I would wear everything, probably at the same time, which is code for I really love it. Zuniga always transports me to some far off place where the women layer, relish in their eccentricities, and spend time mulling over fabrics, structure and what it truly means to wear something. Once again, Electric Feathers is magical. And as always, fashion with a capital F.
